In the fight with heart disease, senior citizens are the most important part. For this reason Arogya Sanskar Foundation undertakes several programs for this section of the society. The office bearers of the various senior citizen organizations and associations are contacted for this purpose and with their help lectures about various health topics are arranged for their members.

In this, these people are explained the functioning of heart and its various ailments in simple language thereby alleviating the fear in their mind about these things. The knowledge of simple measures to be taken in order to live a life free of heart diseases helps these elderly citizens lead a happy life. These programs are organized in local schools, colleges and community centers. The elders are also taken for health picnics. After spending some time in the nature and visiting Madhavbaug hospitals situated in perfect natural surroundings, the people return rejuvenated.

Till date such programs have been organized at various places in Central Mumbai, like Lalbaug, Dadar, Wadala, Sion, Kurla, Ghatkopar, Vikroli, Bhandup, Mulund, Thane, Kalwa, Dombivli, Kalyan, Ulhasnagar, Bhiwandi, Ambarnath, Badlapur etc.

Just as the senior citizens of the society need guidance about correct lifestyle, the policy makers of the state also need it in order to make appropriate and correct policies for the people of the state. Arogya Sanskar Health Foundation and Sane Care Madhavbaug had jointly organized a health checkup camp for the legislators and state’s administrative staff in the Maharashtra State Assembly Secretariat from 22 to 24th July 2014. In this camp health checkup was done for 650 people which included Dr. Anant Kalase, Principal Secretary, Legislative Assembly Secretariat, officers, staff and the security staff of the Secretariat, Vidhan Bhawan, Mumbai, Fire Brigade, Public Works Department, journalists, reporters of the Assembly Reporters’ Association, staff of the political party offices in the assembly premises etc. The camp was inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Anant Kalase, Principal Secretary, Legislative Assembly Secretariat in the Central Hall of the Assembly on 22nd July 2014.

Similar programs are regularly organized for the officers and staff of various banks, industrial establishments and institutions.
