World Health Organization (WHO) has defined health as ‘Health is not just having the body without any disease, but the physical, mental and social wellbeing of an individual.’ It is an accurate definition. Therefore, with the thought that the heart patients should not just take care of their body but should go to the nature, we organized a forest plantation program on the occasion of World Heart Disease Day.

As a part of this program we planted trees on several naturally beautiful hills around Thane with the help of our patients. On this occasion, several activities like lecture on man, nature and health, Vriksha Dindi or ceremonial procession with saplings, tree plantation by the hands of citizens and youths of the surrounding areas etc were undertaken.

Along with this, we also encouraged heart patients to climb up the picturesque Yeoor hills and test the exercise tolerance of their hearts themselves. It turned out to be a quite successful event.
